Residents and visitors have a packed September 2026 live-music calendar across Catalonia, with festivals scheduled from 2 September in Mataró and Ponent to 19 September in the Llera del Ter and Santa Susanna. The programme gives people returning from summer holidays concerts in towns and cities across the territory, while Posidònia Fest in Mataró links its events to protecting the Mediterranean seagrass that stores carbon dioxide.

Racó Català's festival guide lists more than a dozen events, including programmes at the Port de Mataró, the Espai Orfeó in Lleida, the Recinte Firal in Olot and Parc Saavedra in Tarragona.

Concert dates for the first half of September

  • Posidònia Fest: 2–6 September at Port de Mataró, Maresme. The line-up includes Tarta Relena, Suu, Terrae, Alba Careta and La Pamdemic. Elèctrica Dharma's tickets are sold out.
  • Vesprades: 2–19 September in several Ponent municipalities. Roger Torné opens the second phase of its sixth edition; Mark Boske and Marc Gairí will perform at the 100 Vesprades concert at Espai Orfeó in Lleida.
  • Micròmetre: 3–19 September at the Centre Cívic de Santa Susanna, Maresme. The theatre festival includes a musical aperitif performance by Nora Idáñez and Pep Romaguera, plus a swing masterclass and dance session with The Dawn Beat.
  • Concerts de Tornada: 4–19 September in several Llera del Ter municipalities. Its tenth edition includes Maria Hein, Raquel Lúa, Xiomara Abello, Terrae and Roger Padrós.
  • Festes del Tura: 4–8 September in Olot, Garrotxa. Astrio, Teràpia de Shock, Svetlana, JULS, Ginestà, Dan Peralbo i el Comboi, The Tyets and La Ludwig Band are due at the Recinte Firal.

Festivals from 10 September

Talarn Music Experience runs from 10 to 12 September in Talarn, Pallars Jussà, following its July concerts at the Quiosc de Talarn. Lax'n'Busto, Burning and Manel Fuentes & The Spring's Team Band are listed for the September dates.

Músiques Tranquil·les begins on 10 September and continues until 17 December at Teatre de l'Aliança in Mataró. Ferran Palau opens the edition, with Guillamino, Affra, and Big Mama & Sister Marion also programmed.

  • Fira Músics: 10 September in Sant Joan de les Abadesses, Ripollès, during the town's main festival. Youth organisations self-manage the event, which includes Fetus and Llengua Morta.
  • Altaveu: 10–13 September in Sant Boi de Llobregat, Baix Llobregat. The public festival, now in its 35th year, lists Dan Peralbo i el Comboi, Leyre Estruch, Aranu Obiols and La Perra Blanco.
  • La Terrasseta: 10–13 September at Parc Saavedra in Tarragona. Its 15th edition combines street arts and cinema with performances by Anna Andreu, Renaldo&Clara, Maruja Limón, Ypnosi, La Rauxa and El Pony Menut.
  • Festimariu: 11–13 September in Estamariu, Alt Urgell. The fourth Festival de les Arts i la Cultura uses streets, squares and buildings for music, circus, literature, food and Pyrenean crafts, with Celeste Alías, Santi Careta, Roger Mas and Ribatònics among the artists listed.

Free jazz performances begin in Gràcia

Festival L'hora del Jazz runs from 12 September to 17 October in several municipalities. The Tete Montoliu Memorial will hold free performances on three Sundays at Plaça de la Vila in Gràcia, featuring artists including Rai Castells, Marta Garret and Eva Verde & Danilo Tarso.

Other concerts in the festival are scheduled in Cambrils, Tarragona, Lleida, Bigues i Riells, Granollers, Reus, Rubí and Sant Vicenç dels Horts, including performances by the Irene Reig Quartet and Héctor Tejedo Trio.

People planning to attend should use the listed festival dates and venues when arranging travel, particularly for the 2–6 September Port de Mataró events and the free Plaça de la Vila concerts in Gràcia.
