La Salut Celebrates with 10 Days of Festivities

The Festa Major de la Salut 2026 will take place from 4 to 13 September in the La Salut neighbourhood of Barcelona’s Gràcia district. The 10-day festival promises a wide range of activities for all ages, including music, a Bollywood performance, a historical neighbourhood walk, a petanque championship, and a musical bingo game. Residents and visitors can expect street closures and public events centred along Rambla de Mercedes, between Carrer Larrard and Carrer Marianao, where most of the main activities will be held.

Key Events and Schedule

The festivities begin on Friday 4 September with a parade (cercavila) at 17.30, starting and ending on Rambla de Mercedes. The official opening speech (pregó) follows at 18.30, delivered by Teresa Roig. This is followed by a family-friendly musical show by MusicActiva! at 19.00. At 20.30, a static children’s fire-run (correfoc infantil estàtic) will feature youth groups from Gràcia, including Malsons de la Vella de Gràcia and Escuats de la Malèfica del Coll. The evening concludes with an outdoor cinema screening and a traditional 'sopar de carmanyola' at 21.30. Saturday 5 September includes a community vermouth gathering with children’s activities at 11.30, followed by a popular paella lunch at 14.00. Musical bingo starts at 15.00, also on Rambla de Mercedes.
