Poblenou’s Festa Major, the neighbourhood’s annual community festival, is scheduled to take place in Barcelona from Thursday 10 to Sunday 20 September 2026. For residents, families and visitors, the dates mean two weekends of activities in the neighbourhood, including traditional events, music and family proposals.

Betevé’s published guide gives the 10–20 September dates. The festival is expected to take place over two weekends, according to information published by irBarcelona.

Traditional events, music and family activities

The Festa Major del Poblenou is organised by the Coordinadora d’Entitats del Poblenou and the Associació de Comissions de Festes de Calles, with support from Barcelona City Council, irBarcelona says.

Its programme is described as combining popular Catalan culture with sporting, artistic and musical activities. Events listed include:

  • Street parades, early-morning music and a gathering of giants.
  • A correfoc, a fire-run procession involving the Colla de Diables del Poblenou.
  • Concerts, dances, sporting activities and an athletics race.
  • Fireworks and open days at neighbourhood craft workshops.
  • Children’s and family activities, concentrated mainly over the two weekends.

Residents and visitors can check the official Festa Major del Poblenou website for the full programme, including event times and locations when they are published.
