Full Day of Events on Sunday 6 September

Sunday 6 September sees the continuation of Sabadell’s annual Festa Major, featuring a packed schedule of traditional, cultural and sporting activities. The day begins at 10:00 with the popular 5 km and 10 km races, starting and finishing at Passeig de Sant Oleguer, followed by children’s races from 11:40. The event is organised by the Ajuntament de Sabadell through its official sports programme for the festival CURSES POPULARS DE FESTA MAJOR. FM 2026. At 10:00, the Trabucaires galejada takes place in Plaça de Clara Campoamor. The Giant Parade begins at 11:15 in Plaça de Sant Roc, featuring local giants and visiting groups from Fraga and Martorell. At 11:30, the Castellers de Sabadell lead a procession from Plaça de l’Àngel to Plaça de Sant Roc, ahead of the main castellera event at 12:00 in Plaça de Sant Roc. Participants include Castellers de Sabadell, Minyons de Terrassa and Colla Jove de Barcelona, as confirmed in the official festival programme FESTA MAJOR - Ajuntament de Sabadell.

Evening Fire and Music Events

From 18:00 to 24:00, the SAM Fest 2026 takes place in Plaça de la Creu Alta, featuring local music acts. At 18:00, the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès performs at Ca l’Estruch. The Ball de la Bola follows at 18:30 in Plaça Sant Roc. At 20:00, the Tabalada de Festa Major kicks off in Plaça de la Creu Alta. At 21:00, the Cercavila Infernal and Mercat de Foc begin their route from Plaça de la Creu Alta, ending at Mercat Central. Concurrently, concerts take place at Eix Macià’s Espai Concert: CMS: Roots Habits at 21:00, Doctor Prats and Dkantaka & convidats at 22:30, 31 FAM at 00:30 and Mon DJ at 02:00. Additional performances include Cinc Swingcats in Plaça del Gas and a havaneres sing-along with Mariners de Riera in Plaça del Vallès, both at 22:30. An electronic session runs from 23:00 at EstruchBar.
