Sabadell, in the Gràcia neighbourhood, has opened a new catering school within the former Sallarès Deu textile factory. The school will start its activities gradually from June, according to officials.

This initiative aims to establish the centre as a key player in gastronomic education. "We want to be a reference in southern Europe for gastronomic training," officials stated.

The reconversion of the Sallarès Deu factory marks a significant change for the historic building. Once a textile production site, it now houses modern facilities designed for professional culinary education.

The phased opening in June will allow the school to integrate students and programmes smoothly. This approach ensures a considered launch for the new institution.
