Girona-born Albert Soler has presented his new book, El meu negoci és guanyar, in Girona. The former professional basketball player, who played for Joventut de Badalona and FC Barcelona, now works as an entrepreneur and writer.

The book sets out how values from elite sport, such as teamwork, discipline, pressure management and resilience after injury, can also apply to business and everyday life. Soler says those lessons shaped both his playing career and his later work outside sport.

After retiring from basketball, Soler moved into business and says that experience helped him build a successful second career. His book argues that the habits learned in competitive sport can support personal progress, professional growth and financial decision-making.

Soler also places emphasis on early financial education. He says children should be taught to save, invest and manage money from a young age, so they have the tools for greater economic stability later in life.

The book has quickly become a bestseller, according to the article, and Soler plans to keep promoting its message about financial literacy and the transfer of sporting values into other areas of life.
