Mossos d'Esquadra, Catalonia’s regional police, are investigating a gunpoint robbery at the Go Market supermarket on Carrer Pallars in Lleida, reported shortly after midnight between Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 August. Cash was taken from the till and nobody was injured, but the case adds to recent incidents affecting Pakistani-run businesses in the city.
For businesses and residents around Carrer Pallars, near Parc de les Vies, police patrols searched the surrounding area after receiving the alert. The suspected robber had not been located and no arrest had been made when the investigation was reported.

According to information from Mossos d'Esquadra reported by local media, one person entered the shop carrying a pistol, threatened the person in charge and took the money in the cash register before leaving.

Police continue search for suspect
