Social benefits formed the third income source analysed. Pallars Jussà (27%) and Garrigues (24.8%) showed the highest proportions from this category, while Aran (16.2%) and Cerdanya (15.2%) recorded the lowest.

The study also examined municipalities with over 1,000 residents. Alpicat was the only municipality in Lleida province among the top forty in Catalonia for average income, ranking 38th with €22,922 per resident. This figure is more than ten points above the Catalan average. Additionally, Alpicat's resident income grew by 8.4% in the last year analysed by Idescat.
