The Catalan meteorological service, Meteocat, has issued a yellow alert for strong winds across three comarcas in Tarragona. This warning, updated on Thursday, indicates potential wind gusts exceeding 72 kilometres per hour on Friday, 16 May 2026.
The affected areas are Baix Camp, Baix Penedès, and Alt Camp. The alert will be active from 8am to 8pm on Friday, according to Meteocat. The danger level is set at 1 out of 6, which is considered a moderate risk.

Residents in these comarcas are advised to take extra precautions. This includes being careful when travelling and participating in outdoor activities. Officials also recommend securing any loose objects on balconies and terraces that could be dislodged by the wind.
