Manresa, central Catalonia, woke on Friday to a trail of blood drops stretching from Pont Nou to CAP Bages medical centre. The scene, while visually striking, resulted from a minor incident in the early hours, according to local police.
Officials from the Guàrdia Urbana attributed the blood trail to a young man who cut himself with a glass bottle. After sustaining the injury, the individual walked to Carrer Numància and then continued to the CAP Bages centre.
The journey covered more than a kilometre, with the blood trail clearly marking his path. Once at the medical facility, he received the necessary healthcare, officials confirmed.
