A 55-year-old woman from Valls died on Tuesday night after being hit by a vehicle at the city's entrance, according to local authorities. The incident occurred around 9:52pm on the old N-240A road, at the Valls entry point when arriving from Tarragona.
The woman lived in a farmhouse near the accident site. Emergency services, including Bombers de la Generalitat and Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) personnel, attended the scene. SEM staff performed resuscitation attempts on the victim, but she died despite their efforts.
Police Investigate Circumstances
Valls Local Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. Officials are also awaiting the results of an autopsy to clarify all details of the incident.
