Vallsgenera, the Municipal Institute for Local Development in Valls, Tarragona, is strengthening its entrepreneurship support programmes in 2025. The institute's Entrepreneurship Department will launch the new Consolida't programme while continuing its VallsEmprèn project, which started last year to promote new business creation.
The Consolida't programme aims to provide ongoing support to existing businesses. It offers free expert mentoring, specialised training, and technical assistance to self-employed individuals, helping them consolidate and expand their economic activities, according to Vallsgenera. This initiative is part of a broader programme by the Catalan government's Department of Business and Labour.
Pre-registration for Consolida't is now open. The programme includes 13 hours of personalised advice, available both online and in person, focusing on business reorientation, growth, and identifying new opportunities. Participants will also receive training modules on business management, gender equality and LGTBI diversity, data protection, cybersecurity, and the circular economy.
Continuing Support for New Businesses
The Consolida't programme for established businesses complements VallsEmprèn, which Vallsgenera has run since last year. VallsEmprèn offers full support for creating new businesses across all stages. This includes specialised training, mentoring, and personalised advice. It also helps entrepreneurs access various funding lines and assists them in developing their business plans.
Entrepreneurs receive free training and all necessary advisory services to launch their projects. They also get support during the initial years of their business or commercial activity. VallsEmprèn is part of the Emprèn Cat programme and receives funding from the Catalan government's Department of Business and Labour.
Vallsgenera's Entrepreneurship Service has extensive experience in supporting business creation and promoting economic activity. Annually, Vallsgenera advises nearly 200 entrepreneurs and helps create 50 new businesses and shops. In its first year, VallsEmprèn advised 61 entrepreneurs and assisted in preparing four business plans and five capitalisations, alongside other projects where financial advice continues to be offered.
What VallsEmprèn Offers
The VallsEmprèn programme provides several key services:

- Personalised Advice: The programme gives participants individualised professional tutorials, guiding them through the entire process of creating and consolidating their business.
- Funding Sources: It includes advice on finding financial support and technical assistance for applying for bank financing, grants, and subsidies.
- Business Plan: Participants receive support in developing a customised business plan with the help of specialised technicians from Vallsgenera's Entrepreneurship Service.

These initiatives aim to provide a full ecosystem of support for both aspiring and established entrepreneurs in Valls, helping to strengthen the local economy.
