Salou will host its Proud of Salou diversity festival on 27 June, with Passeig Jaume I and Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes set to become the focus of a day centred on coexistence, respect and celebration. The Salou City Council is organising the event with the Diversity Salou association.

The programme is open to residents and visitors, with activities for the whole family. Officials say it will include music, entertainment, shows and institutional moments that underline inclusion, equality and respect as part of community life.

The day will begin at 6pm in Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes, where there will be entertainment and activities for children and adults. An institutional statement will then be read to mark International LGTBI+ Pride Day, followed by the official Proud of Salou proclamation.

The evening will also feature a performance by Tarragona comedian and impersonator Josep Ferré, who is known for television comedy and audience interaction. His show will include impersonations and humour as part of the festival programme.

The event will close with a DJ set, bringing the gathering to an end with music and a community atmosphere. Salou says the festival reflects its values of respect, coexistence, equal opportunities and a commitment to a cohesive and inclusive society.
