Ripoll has launched its 13th annual “Omplim Ripoll de Flor i Color” (Fill Ripoll with Flowers and Colour) campaign, an initiative by Ripoll Town Council, Ripoll Comerç, and local businesses. The programme aims to fill the municipality with flowers during the spring season and encourage residents to decorate their balconies, windows, and gardens.

From 15 May to 7 June 2026, customers making purchases at local shops across Ripoll will receive €1 discount vouchers. These vouchers can be exchanged for flowers at the town's three florists: Ocells i Plantes Alarcón, Rams N’Roses, and Espiga Verda. A total of 1,200 vouchers are available while stocks last.

To mark the start of the campaign, a special stall will be set up in Plaça de Sant Eudald on Friday, 15 May, from 5pm to 6.30pm. Here, residents can collect flowers and vouchers. Educational centres in the town will also participate, helping to beautify public spaces with floral displays. Officials reminded residents to use water responsibly when caring for plants, despite recent rainfall.

Ripoll's Floral Recognition

Ripoll participates in the "Viles Florides" (Flowery Towns) project, which recognises Catalan municipalities for their efforts in ornamentation, landscaping, and environmental sustainability. Ripoll currently holds three 'flors d'honor' (flowers of honour), with four being the maximum possible award. This campaign contributes to the town's ongoing efforts to maintain its high standard of floral decoration and environmental care.
