The Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating a sexual assault on a young adult woman in Barcelona's Raval neighbourhood. The incident took place on Saturday night, according to police sources who confirmed the event to Betevé after it was reported by users on X.

The Ciutat Vella Investigation Unit is gathering evidence and witness statements to identify and arrest the perpetrator. The assault occurred around 9.50pm in Plaça de Castella, near Carrer dels Tallers.

Victim's Condition and Police Action

Details of the incident remain limited, but the victim is reported to be in good health and was not hospitalised. She has not yet filed a formal complaint, though police sources admit it is common for a few days to pass before this happens. Officers recognise that filing a complaint is critical for progressing the search for a suspect and establishing a strong foundation for any potential judicial process.

This assault in North Raval coincides with another sexual assault under investigation in the Fòrum area. That incident happened slightly later, around midnight, when a young woman was allegedly attacked by two men in a bathroom at the site hosting the Feria de Abril.
