Renfe has fully restored train services on the R-15 line between Móra la Nova and Riba-roja d'Ebre as of today, 13 October 2026, eliminating the bus transfers that had been in place since storm Harry caused severe disruption in January.

The reinstatement means passengers travelling between Barcelona and Caspe or Barcelona and Zaragoza now benefit from direct rail connections, improving journey reliability and convenience. The service had operated with partial bus replacements for ten months, following three months without any trains on the Ebro region and Camp de Tarragona stretch of the line.

Renfe stated that the improvement allows travellers to access a more direct service on the Barcelona–Casp and Barcelona–Zaragoza routes. However, the R-15 line still operates under temporary speed restrictions (Limitacions Temporals de Velocitat, LTV) while ongoing infrastructure assessments continue.

Updated R-15 timetables

  • From Riba-roja d'Ebre to Barcelona: A train departs at 05:30, connecting with a Móra la Nova–Barcelona service at 06:30.
  • Trains from Zaragoza pass through Riba-roja d'Ebre at 09:00 and 09:45, with the latter connecting to a 10:30 departure to Barcelona.
  • In the afternoon, a service leaves Riba-roja at 18:30 from Zaragoza, and another arrives at Móra la Nova at 22:30, ending its journey there.
  • From Móra la Nova to Zaragoza: A weekday service departs at 06:00, with an additional weekend service at 09:45.
  • Three direct Barcelona–Zaragoza trains pass through Riba-roja d'Ebre at 12:00, 19:00, and 20:15.
  • One additional train departs Móra la Nova for Zaragoza at 19:45.

Passengers are advised to check the latest timetables on the official Rodalies de Catalunya website, which reflects the updated direct services.

This improvement allows passengers to have a more direct service on the Barcelona–Casp and Barcelona–Zaragoza routes, Renfe said.
