Barcelona City Council will install a giant screen at Glòries Park for residents to watch the UEFA Women's Champions League final on 23 May 2026. The match, featuring FC Barcelona Femení against OL Lyonnes, kicks off at 18:00 CEST from the Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo, Norway.

This marks the first time the UEFA women's club tournament final will be held in Norway, at the stadium typically used by both the men's and women's national teams. The council, through the Barcelona Sports Institute, aims to offer supporters the chance to experience the match in a lively atmosphere.

David Escudé, Barcelona's Sports Councillor, stated, "We will again have the live broadcast of this historic final at Glòries Park so that all Barcelona residents who wish to come can enjoy what we hope will be Barça's fourth victory in this competition." OL Lyonnes presents a strong opponent, having won the Women's Champions League trophy eight times.

Promoting Women's Sport in Barcelona

This initiative is part of the council's wider strategy to establish Barcelona as a global leader in women's sport and to increase the visibility of women's competitions, including football. The city previously set up a large screen at Glòries Park for the 2025 final, which saw Barça Femení play Arsenal.

The continued provision of public viewing opportunities for major women's sporting events shows the council's commitment to promoting female athletes and teams. It also provides a communal space for fans to gather and celebrate significant moments in women's football.
