Weekend Festival Kicks Off Saturday Evening
The Ajuntament dels Prats de Rei is hosting its Second Festa Major, known as the Festa dels Sants Màrtirs, on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026. The event features a mix of culture, live music, tradition, and local heritage activities for all ages. The festivities begin at 19:00 on Saturday at Sala 1 d’Octubre with a live performance by Enric EZ – Big Band Duo.
New Museum Space Opens Sunday Morning
On Sunday 27 September, from 11:00 to 13:00, the public can attend the inauguration and guided visit of the new room at the Museu Municipal Josep Castellà Real, located on Carrer Ravalet. During the same hours, an audiovisual presentation will be shown at the museum. The museum holds an archaeological collection focused on the area’s Iberian Lacetani and Roman history, particularly related to the ancient settlement of Sigarra, and is wheelchair accessible with on-site facilities.
Family-Friendly Events Wrap Up the Weekend
At 13:00 on Sunday, the cultural association A.C.R. Sigarra hosts a 'bingo vermut' at Sala 1 d’Octubre. The weekend concludes at 18:00 with an open-air cinema screening of the musical film Mamma Mia!, also organised by A.C.R. Sigarra at the same venue. The event is supported by the Diputació de Barcelona and organised in collaboration with the local cultural group. Residents, families, and visitors are invited to take part.
