500 Attend Anticapitalist Feminist Forum
Around 500 people attended the 6th Meeting for Feminist Training and Debate in Sabadell on Saturday 26 September 2026, organised by Feministes Anticapitalistes dels Països Catalans (FAPC). The event, held at the Espai Cultura Foundation 1859 Caixa Sabadell, focused this year on racism, drawing higher attendance than recent editions. The day began at 9:30 with a roundtable titled 'Racial Capitalism, Border Regimes and Institutional Violence' in the main auditorium, followed by thematic workshops. The most popular session was 'Femonationalism, Islamophobia and Cultural Racism: Feminism as a Border Device', highlighting growing concern over the use of gender rights to justify xenophobic policies.
"The majority of discourses now in vogue use anti-immigration rhetoric to justify rampant fascism, and we believe feminism must challenge this. There have been years of white feminism that failed to take responsibility for antiracist movements."

Political Rally and Feminist Walk Planned
A political rally will conclude the forum at 8pm at Plaça del Treball in the Gràcia district, followed by a communal dinner. Separately, at 9pm, a feminist walk will depart from the waterfall in Parc Catalunya, promoting women's right to move safely in public spaces. The walk is part of a wider initiative started in 2021 by French artist Eléonore Ozanne, which saw simultaneous events in 13 Spanish municipalities in 2023. The two-day forum continues on Sunday 27 September with internal network discussions restricted to affiliated collectives. Attendance is open to women and dissident identities, with a solidarity contribution of €5 encouraged via the official ticketing portal VI Trobada de Formació i Debat - Ticketic.
