Van intercepted with nearly 1,200 clothing items
On Wednesday, 5 August, Torredembarra Local Police intercepted a van carrying 882 t-shirts and 314 trousers along Passeig Miramar at around 7.30pm. The 1,196 garments, mostly football shirts believed to be counterfeit, were presumed destined for unauthorised street selling.
The seizure forms part of a special summer enforcement campaign targeting illegal street vending.
Joint operation targets unauthorised trade
The intervention was carried out in coordination with the Mossos d'Esquadra, Catalonia’s regional police force. Authorities immediately confiscated the goods and initiated legal proceedings under current public safety and trading regulations. This summer’s control operation aims to prevent and eliminate irregular practices linked to unlicensed street commerce in the coastal town.
