The 37th Pirineu Business Meeting will be held on 11 and 12 June at the Municipal Sports Palace in La Seu d'Urgell, Lleida. This year's event, themed "The new global economic map: which path do we take?", will address current business concerns, including geopolitical tensions, technological transformation, and changes in global markets and value chains.
The meeting offers a space for reflection, debate, and connection for executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals. The programme features prominent figures from institutional, business, economic, and academic fields. Xavier Espot, Head of Government of Andorra, will inaugurate the event, while Salvador Illa, President of the Generalitat de Catalunya, will participate on Friday.
Josep Borrell, President of CIDOB and former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, will deliver the opening conference on global geopolitical challenges. Former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi will also be present, according to organisers.
Enhanced Networking Opportunities
This year's meeting will expand its networking spaces. The organisation has redesigned the format to help professional connections before and after the presentations. For the first time, the meeting will start on Thursday morning and conclude on Friday midday.
This new schedule aims to create more informal interaction spaces among participants. These include a pre-event dinner for sponsors and a 'Trobada Party' open to all attendees. The goal is to strengthen one of the event's key values: building trust and collaboration opportunities beyond the formal conferences.
"Being well-connected is a competitive advantage that we understand very well at the Trobada, and that is why we want to give it more importance," Montse Pujol stated.
Leading Business and Tech Voices
The meeting will also feature top-tier business leaders. The business strategies panel will include Mar Nogareda, Vice President of HIPRA; Félix Revuelta, founder of Naturhouse; and Jaume Miquel, head of Tendam.
Additionally, the 2026 edition will highlight Catalan and Andorran startups focused on innovation and artificial intelligence. Established Lleida-based companies will also be represented by figures such as Carles Camí, Tomàs Cusiné, Patricia Romero, and Dolors Puyol.
Technology will have a dedicated segment with Josep Maria Ganyet, an artificial intelligence expert. Science communicator Xevi Verdaguer will present a conference titled "Longevity: how to live more years with quality of life." Pre-registration is required to participate.
A Key Event in the Business Calendar

Since its inception, it has brought together over 500 speakers and more than 10,000 attendees. As the business world faces unprecedented challenges, the meeting aims to continue providing a useful platform. It helps anticipate trends, share knowledge, and generate strategic alliances for the future.
