Police in Mollerussa, in Lleida, have dismantled a family group linked to the cultivation and distribution of cannabis, according to the Mossos d'Esquadra.
Officers seized more than two kilograms of the drug, €32,000 in cash and several weapons during the operation. The force said the group was operating in the town and was allegedly growing cannabis before distributing it across the area.
The Mossos d'Esquadra said the intervention formed part of efforts to tackle organised drug crime in Catalonia. The case adds to a wider pattern of police action against cannabis production and sales in towns across the region.
The investigation is expected to continue as the case moves through the legal process. Further details may emerge as proceedings advance.
