Mollerussa, Lleida – The 45th Car Show, held as part of the 153rd Sant Josep Fair in Mollerussa from 19 to 22 March, achieved a new historic record in sales volume, exceeding €9 million. A total of 274 vehicles were sold, generating €9,070,373, according to Mollerussa's mayor and president of Fira de Mollerussa, Marc Solsona.

This figure surpasses last year's record of €8,945,277, confirming the positive sentiment felt during the event, Solsona told reporters. The number of cars sold also places this year's edition among the most successful in the show's history.

Two attendees, Begoña Martin from Vilanova de Bellpuig and Florencio Molina from Bellpuig, each won €6,000 prizes. These prizes were new this year and were awarded to individuals who purchased a car during the show. Martin bought a Toyota RAV4 from Naymotor, while Molina purchased a G01 Pro SWM from Aster Autos.

Sales Figures and Buyer Demographics

Solsona expressed satisfaction with the results, stating that they solidify the Mollerussa Car Show's position as a leading event for new vehicles, not only in the Lleida region but across Catalonia. The latest figures show an 8.7% growth in business volume and a 1.4% increase in vehicles sold compared to the previous year.

Analysis of buyer origins revealed that 84% of sales came from the Lleida provinces, with 50 cars sold to residents of Lleida city alone. Another 9% of sales, accounting for 25 vehicles, were from other Catalan provinces. The remaining 7%, or 21 vehicles, were purchased by buyers from outside Catalonia.

The average price of a vehicle sold this year was €33,107, a decrease from last year's average of €35,299. The most expensive car sold at the 45th Car Show was a BMW X-5 xDrive for €87,000, while the most affordable was a Dacia Sandero at €15,700.

Price Trends and Future Events

Notably, 74% of the cars sold were priced above €24,000, which is six points lower than the 80% recorded last year. This contrasts with an increase in sales for vehicles priced between €12,000 and €18,000, which made up 7% of this year's sales compared to just 2% in 2025. The busiest sales days were Saturday and Sunday, with 171 transactions closed over the two days.

Fira de Mollerussa's calendar continues with the 36th Autotrac fair, scheduled for 24 to 26 April. This upcoming event will focus on used cars, agricultural machinery, and industrial equipment.
