Cervera rider Marc Márquez won his 100th Grand Prix race on Sunday, 7 June 2026, at the Hungary GP. The Catalan rider returned to the top step of the podium after nine months away from victory and two operations on his right shoulder.
Riding for Ducati, Márquez said it was “an expensive victory after last year's injury, but it was worth it.” The result puts him alongside only two other riders in Grand Prix history to reach 100 wins, Valentino Rossi on 115 and Giacomo Agostini on 122.
The nine-time world champion shared the podium with Acosta and Francesco Bagnaia. He finished the weekend with 37 points, a strong sign of progress after his recovery.
Márquez’s return matters well beyond the race itself for readers in Cervera, Lleida and across Catalonia, where his career remains closely followed. It also adds another major result to a season shaped by his comeback from injury.
