Four Mossos d'Esquadra officers suffered minor injuries and four individuals were arrested in Manresa early on Monday morning following a police chase. The incident began when a vehicle attempted to evade officers in the city centre.

According to Regió7, confirmed by ACN, the pursuit started around 1:45am after the driver and a passenger made an illegal turn in the urban area. When a police patrol approached, they fled through the centre of Manresa. The chase ended near Pujada del Castell street.

Arrests and Charges

At Pujada del Castell, family and friends emerged from a nearby home and tried to stop the arrests. Police said these individuals assaulted officers from two patrol cars, causing minor injuries to four agents. Ultimately, the two occupants of the vehicle and two other people were arrested.

The Mossos d'Esquadra also confirmed that the driver did not possess a valid licence. All four arrested individuals face charges of assault against authority figures. The driver also faces charges for reckless driving and driving without a licence.
