Manresa’s public transport will run extended, free night services from Friday 29 August to Monday 1 September during the town’s Festa Major. The move aims to improve mobility and reduce private car use, according to the Ajuntament de Manresa.
On 29 and 30 August, urban bus line L5 (Sant Pau–Dolors–Viladordis) will operate from 10pm to 4am. On 31 August and 1 September, it will start earlier at 8pm and run until 4am. Lines L9 and L10, serving La Balconada and La Parada, will operate from 10pm to 4am on 29 and 30 August, and from 8pm to 4am on 31 August and 1 September.
The interurban route 705 (Manresa–El Xup) will extend its evening service from 11pm to 4am on 29 and 30 August. On 31 August, line L7, the La Parada holiday route, will make its last scheduled stop at the Agulla Park at 5.19pm, as vehicle access to the park will be restricted after this time due to the fireworks display.
Special Shuttle for Fireworks Show
A special shuttle bus will run every 15 minutes from Sunday 31 August between 5.35pm and 9.35pm to serve the fireworks event at Parc de l’Agulla. The shuttle will depart from the new stop at Carrer Guimerà, stopping at Guimerà, Bruc, Pompeu Fabra, Dibuixant Joan Vilanova, Miralpeix, and Parc de l’Agulla.
For the return journey, buses will leave every 15 minutes from 5.50pm to 9.35pm from Parc de l’Agulla, stopping at Avinguda Universitària, Centre Hospitalari, Poble Nou, Plaça Espanya, and ending at Guimerà.
After the fireworks, festival-goers are advised to use L9 and L10 stops at Pau Casals or Alcalde Prunés in the La Parada area for return travel.
The Ajuntament de Manresa says the initiative promotes public transport use, supports citizen mobility, and discourages private car travel during the festival.
