€690,000 in Funding for Local Fairs

The Provincial Council of Lleida has launched a new support scheme allocating €690,000 to help municipalities organise fairs in 2026 and 2027. The funding, managed through the Cooperation area, provides €330,000 for 2026 and €360,000 for 2027 to support events that boost local economic and social activity.

Local councils and their dependent bodies in the comarques of Lleida, Pirineu and Aran are eligible to apply, except for the city of Lleida and municipalities already covered by existing fair-promotion agreements with the Diputació.

Grant Conditions and Application Deadline

Grants can cover up to 75% of the total cost of each fair, with a maximum of €5,000 per event and €10,000 per local entity per year. Entities must submit a separate application for each year they plan to hold fairs.

The deadline for submissions is 6 November 2026, as confirmed by Vice President Agustí Jiménez, who stressed the importance of fairs in promoting municipal identity and local commerce.

"The fairs are spaces for promoting each municipality's identity, and from the Diputació de Lleida we are committed to consolidating them.", Agustí Jiménez, Vice President of the Provincial Council of Lleida

Jiménez highlighted the significant increase in funding compared to previous calls and reaffirmed the institution's support for events that benefit local businesses, associations and producers across the region.
