Llançà Institute has won Girona’s Grand Concrete Competition, held in Girona and organised by the College of Technical Architecture of Girona. The event brought together more than 420 students from 29 centres across the province to introduce young people to technical architecture.
The winning team from Llançà Institute was made up of five second-year baccalaureate students. Judges praised their creativity and technical knowledge after their concrete structure passed both resistance and design tests.
Now in its fifth year, the competition aims to encourage interest in careers linked to technical architecture and construction. It also helps students learn more about building materials and construction techniques.
The day included presentations by industry professionals, practical workshops and an exhibition of the best student projects. The College of Technical Architecture of Girona said it was pleased with the level of participation and the quality of the work shown.
