Manresa was the main Catalonia-wide setting for the Impulsa Foundation’s 2025-2026 academic year closing event, which brought together young people, mentors, businesses and partner organisations from the Bages, Berguedà, Anoia, Moianès and Alt Penedès areas.

The event also took place at the same time in Vic, Girona and Sabadell. The foundation said it supported 361 young people through scholarships and other help so they could study vocational training, with the backing of more than 190 active mentors.

In the five territories named, the foundation supported 93 young people during the academic year. That included 27 in Moianès, 24 in Berguedà, 16 in Bages, 16 in Anoia and 10 in Alt Penedès.

The work involved more than 52 mentors, 42 educational centres and 36 social entities. The foundation said its aim is to help students complete their professional training through financial aid and personal guidance.

Mentors play a central role in that support, offering one-to-one help as students move through their studies. For readers following local education and social programmes in Catalonia, see our news coverage and the latest updates.

Looking ahead, the foundation said it plans to keep expanding its support and to seek new partnerships so more young people can access vocational education and improve their career prospects across Catalonia.
