Handbol Garbí have secured promotion to the Primera Nacional league in Palafrugell, after their final play-off match on Sunday, 24 May 2026.
The team, coached by Sergi Catarain, lost 33-34 to Donibane Aukera, but the result did not change their promotion. They had already secured their place in Primera Nacional before the final game.
The play-off campaign was tight throughout. Handbol Garbí beat Dominicos de Zaragoza 30-29 and Villa de Aranda 30-29, with both wins decided by a single point.
Fans joined the team in celebration in Palafrugell. A parade is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, starting at the sports pavilion and finishing at Palafrugell Town Hall.
