Girona City Council has opened new funding calls for audiovisual creation and video game development in Girona, through El Modern. Centre Audiovisual i Digital. The aim is to support creative talent, help professionalise the sector, and strengthen the city’s audiovisual and digital ecosystem.

The application period began on 28 May and will close on 17 June, according to the council. The calls are part of Girona’s wider effort to support local creative and digital industries.

The funding is intended to back a range of projects, from independent film productions to video game concepts. City officials say the programme is designed to encourage more local production and economic activity in Girona.
