Atlètic Lleida in Lleida has confirmed that Jordi López will not continue as head coach next season, after both sides agreed to end the relationship.
The club said the decision was formalised after a recent meeting between its management and López. It added that the agreement brings to an end a spell that began in the final stages of the season.
López took charge at a difficult point in the campaign, when the team needed to avoid relegation. In 15 matches in Segona Federació, Atlètic Lleida recorded four wins, three draws and eight defeats, scoring 14 goals and conceding 19.
Atlètic Lleida thanked López for taking on the role in a delicate sporting situation and for his commitment during his time with the first team. The club also wished him success in his future professional and personal projects.
The sporting management will now begin the search for a new coach for the 2025-2026 season. It says it will work in the coming weeks to define the profile that best fits the club’s future objectives and needs.
