Extra early morning services to Barcelona
Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) will reinforce train services on the Barcelona–Vallès lines during the upcoming La Mercè festival in Barcelona. On 24, 26 and 27 September, additional early morning departures will run from Plaça Catalunya to accommodate festivalgoers returning to towns including Sant Cugat, Terrassa and Sabadell. On 24 September, an extra S2 service will leave Plaça Catalunya at 04:35, followed by an S1 train at 04:45. On 26 and 27 September, the S1 will depart at 04:45 and the S2 at 04:55. These adjustments are designed to assist passengers travelling back after late-night events.
Uninterrupted night services
Overnight services will also be enhanced. During the nights of 23, 25 and 26 September, FGC will operate continuous urban line services. Starting at 02:30, every second L6 train will extend its route to Les Planes, running every 40 minutes between Plaça Catalunya and the final stop. Passengers using the Vallvidrera Funicular will benefit from increased frequency, with trains running every 10 minutes during the three nights of extended service.
