A driver was injured and trapped inside their vehicle after a collision involving a car and a coach on the AP-7 motorway in Maçanet de la Selva, Girona, on Sunday morning. The accident caused traffic delays in the area.
The incident occurred when the car collided with a coach carrying 44 passengers. None of the coach passengers were injured, according to officials.
Firefighters from the Generalitat's Bombers de la Generalitat had to free the trapped driver from the car. The Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM), Catalonia's emergency medical system, then took the injured person to Hospital Universitari de Girona Doctor Josep Trueta.
Traffic Disruption and Recovery
The crash led to significant traffic queues on the AP-7. These delays gradually eased as emergency services worked at the scene and the affected vehicles were removed.
