Barcelona has opened its swimming pools for the summer 2026 season, giving residents and visitors a wide choice of places to cool off across the city and nearby areas, according to El Periódico Barcelona.

Among the best-known city pools is the Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc, at Avinguda Miramar, 31, with city views and a general admission price of €7.92 for 2026. Another well-known spot is the lake at Parc de la Creueta del Coll, at Mare de Déu del Coll, 77, where entry costs €2.75. Beso Pedralbes, at Avinguda Diagonal, 671, offers sunbeds from €30 and does not admit children or pets.
Barcelona’s sports centres also provide outdoor swimming. The Llac de Can Dragó, at Rosselló i Porcel, 7-11, is the city’s largest pool area, covering 15,000 square metres, with entry at €9.85. Other city options include the Picornell pools on Montjuïc, at Avinguda de l’Estadi, 30-38, at €15.10, and Can Carelleu, at Esports, 2, at €16.77. In other districts, Okeymas Ciutadella, CEM Can Toda, CEM Guinardó, the Piscina Municipal de la Clota, Eurofitness Vall Hebron, CEM Bon Pastor, ASME Trinitat Vella, CEM Bac de Roda and DiR Campus all have summer access at different prices and opening dates.
For people who want sea views without the sand, the Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta, at Plaça del Mar, s/n, has three outdoor freshwater pools with Mediterranean views and general admission at €16.49. Bastian Beach, at Passeig del Mare Nostrum, 14, focuses on a lounge setting with cocktails and dining, with sunbed reservations starting from €100. The Fòrum bathing area offers a free saltwater option.
Outside Barcelona, more pools are open or reopening in the metropolitan area. In Sant Cugat, Complex Esportiu Valldoreix starts from €7.50 on weekdays and €8.50 on weekends and holidays, while Complex Aquàtic Parc Central and Cooperativa d’Aigües La Floresta reopen on 20 June. Santa Coloma de Gramenet’s Can Zam opens on 21 June, with weekend admission at €7.30. In Terrassa, four municipal pools cost €3, while Sabadell’s pools range from €6.05 to €7.90, depending on the venue.
