Across Catalonia, towns are lining up a busy weekend of food, film, humour and family events from 12 to 14 June 2026, according to Diari de Girona. In Girona, Palamós, Figueres, Cassà de la Selva, Lloret de Mar, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Banyoles, Salt and nearby towns, the programme ranges from seafood fairs to independent cinema.

In Palamós, the annual Prawn Fair takes place on Saturday 13 June at the fishing port and fish market, from 12pm to 10pm. The event centres on the town’s best-known product, with prawn tastings, show cooking, seafood dishes and family activities. It is one of the clearest food-led events in the weekend line-up.

Cassà de la Selva is marking three days with its Cork and Stopper Fair from 12 to 14 June. The programme includes talks, products made from cork, wine-related experiences and popular activities. Friday includes a tasting called “I hate you my love: the story of wine, cork and cheese”, while Saturday and Sunday add yoga among cork oaks, tastings, a historical session on cooperativism and a closing talk on climate change.

In Figueres, La Rambla hosts the fifth Alt Empordà Craft Beer Tasting Fair on 12 and 13 June. The free event brings together eight beer producers and six food businesses, with themed tastings and live music. Friday’s line-up includes Els Perduts de Sant Esteve de les Roures and Bananna Beach Crew, while Saturday features PD Pawer, Tramuntakada, Sweet Chilli Band and Poéticamente Incorrectos.

Lloret de Mar is turning its seafront promenade and Plaça de la Vila into an Indian-themed setting for the Americans Fair from 12 to 14 June. The programme includes a market, music, dance, parades, theatre, circus acts and activities linked to the memory of the “Indians”, Catalans who returned wealthy from the Americas. Highlights include an Indian route, theatrical parades, havaneres with Peix Fregit and closing activities on Sunday.

In Girona, the Cardagràcia humour festival runs from 12 to 14 June with monologues, improvisation, podcasts and comedy shows at venues including Casa de Cultura, Casa de les Arts and La Sala de Vilablareix. The city is also hosting La Setmana, its independent film festival, at OCINE cinemas over the same dates. The festival includes four finalist feature films, parallel activities and a screening of the documentary Homage to Catalonia on Sunday.

Elsewhere in the region, the Recòndit Festival continues in Pla de l’Estany with concerts in small towns and unusual spaces, while Banyoles is hosting Prehistoscopi, a prehistory fair with workshops and demonstrations at Parc de la Muralla. Salt’s La Mirona is also scheduled to host Band Jovi, a Bon Jovi tribute band, on Saturday evening. For more Catalonia coverage, see our news tag.
