Charity Representative to Lead Festival Opening

The Fundació Privada Atendis, a long-standing social organisation in Sabadell supporting people with intellectual disabilities, will deliver the official opening speech – known as the pregó – at the Eixample district’s major annual street festival on Friday, 25 September 2026.

The event, organised by the Associació de Veïns de l’Eixample (Eixample Neighbourhood Association), has chosen the foundation to highlight the importance of social inclusion and equal participation in community life.

Alex Moya to Deliver Speech

The pregó will be delivered by Alex Moya, a participant in Atendis’s Taina Employment Inclusion Service, which helps people with intellectual disabilities access training and work opportunities. As a resident of Sabadell, Moya will speak from personal experience about civic engagement and inclusion.

This is an honour and a chance to advocate for a community where everyone can actively take part in cultural and associative life.

The foundation, active in Sabadell for over 63 years, provides specialised support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families, including housing, education, and employment services.
