Family Festival Combines Arts and Local Flavours
On Saturday 18 October, the Celler de Sanui in Lleida will host a new edition of the Art a l’Horta Festival, a cultural and agrotourism event designed to bring art and heritage into unconventional rural spaces. The day will feature the family show Filigranes by performance duo Tandor & Paxton at 11:30, followed by a jazz concert from the Andreu Giró Quartet at 12:30. The festival aims to foster dialogue between art, landscape, history and local produce, celebrating the green surroundings of Lleida. Organised by the Culture Office of the Ajuntament de Lleida (city council), the event is held in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Lleida via the Institute of Ilerdense Studies, the Association of Producers of l'Horta, the Association for the Interpretation of l'Horta, the Horta Brand and the Celler de Sanui.
Live Music and Local Stalls
The Andreu Giró Quartet will present a repertoire blending original compositions with a contemporary approach to jazz and improvisation. Drawing on jazz traditions, the performance will incorporate modern influences and emphasise rhythmic interplay, texture and collective development among the four musicians. Before the concert, the Tandor & Paxton show Filigranes will offer magic, music, humour, audience participation and playful absurdity suitable for all ages. Throughout the day, local producers from the Horta region will showcase regional food and drink, allowing visitors to experience the festival with all their senses.
The festival aims to bring culture closer to the public by providing unconventional spaces and fostering a dialogue between art, landscape, heritage, history and quality products.
Sustainable Transport with Free Shuttle Buses
To encourage environmentally friendly travel, free shuttle buses will run from Lleida city to the venue and back. Departures will be from the Sanidad stop at Ricard Viñes Square. Return services will be available after the event. Full details on bus schedules are available on the official festival page.
