The Rugbi Club Alt Empordà, based in Castelló d'Empúries, has been named Catalonia's best rugby school for 2025. The Catalan Rugby Federation (FCR) awarded the honour, recognising the club's training work and school growth.
The award ceremony will take place on 29 May at 7pm at the Sant Cugat del Vallès Specialisation Centre. It forms part of the FCR's annual gala. This recognition provides a significant boost for the club, which consistently promotes rugby values among young people.
Developing Young Talent
The Rugbi Club Alt Empordà school currently has over 150 male and female players across various categories, from under-6 to under-18. Its focus on full training, combining technical and tactical learning with education in values such as respect, camaraderie, and effort, was key to securing the award.
The club expressed gratitude for the involvement of all coaches, players, families, and sponsors who made this success possible. "This award is for everyone who is part of the Rugbi Club Alt Empordà. It is recognition of a job well done and motivates us to continue working with even more enthusiasm," said club president Joan Martí.
