Sabadell-based broadcasters TV Sabadell-Vallès and Taronja Ràdio Vallès opened their new facilities in the city on Wednesday afternoon, with more than 150 people attending.
The event brought together representatives from Sabadell and the wider Vallès area, including people from political, social, cultural and economic circles. The outlets are part of Grup Taelus.
Their stated aim is to produce local journalism for Sabadell and the Vallès region, made from within the communities they cover. That focus is central to their work as local media in Catalonia.
The move to new premises is expected to support both broadcasters' programming and day-to-day operations. Those present at the opening highlighted the role of independent local media in informing residents and supporting civic life.
