Barcelona’s Tibidabo Amusement Park opened Masia Tibidabo on Friday, 5 June, to mark the park’s 125th anniversary. The restaurant is in the historic Masia building on Plaça del Tibidabo and serves seasonal Catalan cuisine with panoramic views over the city.
Chef Rafa Zafra, who is known for Estimar and Amar, created the menu. Park officials said the offer is based on “seasonal Catalan cuisine”, with dishes focused on origin, product and time, and plates designed for sharing. The restaurant has space for 300 diners.
Masia Tibidabo is divided into three areas, a central dining room, a mirador room with views, and a terrace with lighter, more casual options. The interior was designed by Varis Arquitectes, with warm wood tones and ceiling lighting that can change the ambience and colour of the space.
The dining room also has large windows that frame views of both the sea and the mountains. The Masia building is a Modernist-style structure that was first inaugurated in 1901, and it has been rehabilitated under the direction of Dani Freixes, who led the Varis Arquitectes team for the project.
Guests who book a table at Masia Tibidabo include travel on the Cuca de Llum funicular, which takes visitors up to the summit. For more Catalonia news, see our news coverage.
