A teenager was arrested in Barcelona's Raval neighbourhood on Saturday night, 20 April, as the suspected killer of a man. The incident took place just before midnight on Carrer de la Cera, in the Ciutat Vella district, according to officials.
Emergency services responded to reports of a person seriously injured by a bladed weapon. Multiple units from the Mossos d'Esquadra, Guàrdia Urbana, Barcelona Fire Brigade, and the Medical Emergency System (SEM) attended the scene.
The victim was taken to a city hospital in critical condition, where he later died. Police located and arrested the suspected attacker shortly after the incident.
Investigation Underway
The investigation is being handled by the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the Mossos d'Esquadra. Officials have placed the proceedings under a secrecy order, meaning details will not be publicly released at this stage.
