Campsites across the Costa Daurada and Terres de l'Ebre in Tarragona have achieved significant recognition, securing over half of the prestigious ACSI Awards 2026, which celebrate quality based on user feedback.

These highly regarded awards, a benchmark in the European camping sector, saw five establishments from the region claim top honours. Playa Montroig Camping Resort was recognised for its 'best sanitary facilities', Càmping Ametlla for being the 'best hiking campsite', and Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou for its 'best swimming pool'. Additionally, Càmping Estanyet was named the 'most dog-friendly', and Càmping Stel received an award for being the 'most fun for children'.

Further reinforcing the region's excellence, Tamarit Beach Resort, Càmping Joan, and Alannia Els Prats also received honourable mentions. The ACSI Awards are particularly significant as they are based exclusively on the direct opinions of nearly 100,000 European campers, making them a direct indicator of quality and customer satisfaction.

Tarragona's Commitment to Excellence

The awards ceremony took place during the Catalan Campsite Congress in La Seu d'Urgell, an event that further consolidates Catalonia's standing as a major European camping hub. Joan Estrada, President of the Association of Campsites of the Costa Daurada and Terres de l'Ebre, expressed great satisfaction with the results.

Estrada highlighted that these accolades reflect the sector's continuous commitment to innovation, sustainability, and service excellence. He stated that the awards reinforce the territory's leadership, positioning it as one of the continent's most outstanding camping destinations.
