In Lleida, José Crespín, the Spanish government’s sub-delegate, visited Pallars Jussà to review local needs and heritage conservation projects.
The visit included the monumental complex of Mur, one of the area’s key historical sites. Officials said the aim was to gain first-hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities linked to the region’s heritage.
Crespín also met local representatives to discuss the requirements for maintaining and restoring historical sites. The focus was on practical support for conservation work across the area.
Projects in Pallars Jussà often involve churches, castles and other structures that form part of Catalonia’s cultural heritage. Keeping them in good condition is important for preservation and for local tourism.
Local authorities are expected to continue talks with the Spanish government about possible funding and resources for these projects. For more Catalonia-wide coverage, see our news page.
