Major Acts and Local Talent at Santa Coloma’s Summer Festival

The 2026 Summer Festa Major in Santa Coloma de Gramenet will take place from Friday 4 to Monday 7 September, featuring 116 activities across the city. The festival will spotlight both national headliners and local artists, with performances by Sidonie, Chanel, Sopa de Cabra, David Bustamante and El Drogas forming the musical core. According to the Santa Coloma City Council, 71 of the events will feature local representation, including 52 artists from Santa Coloma and 30 city organisations. Mayor Mireia González described the programme as "ambitious, diverse and high-quality", reflecting the city's "open, plural and dynamic" character.

Festival Kicks Off with Civic and Cultural Traditions

The festival begins on 4 September with the ringing of bells at Església Major and the inaugural procession. At 9:00 PM, the official opening speech will be delivered from the City Hall balcony by Laia Aleixandri, the Colomense footballer from FC Barcelona. That evening, music takes centre stage with the 26th Santako Sound Cortocircuit 2.0 at Mas Fonollar and the 21st FISCO-Sintonitzza in Europa Park, headlined by Los Estanques and El Canijo de Jerez. Concerts will also be held in Plaça de Pau Casals with María Peláe and local band Piratas Rumbversions, in Plaça del Rellotge with Laura Lázaro, and in Plaça de la Vila with the legendary Catalan band Sopa de Cabra.

Weekend Highlights Include Family Events and Major Concerts

Saturday 5 September features the sixth Violeta Festival at La CIBA, a co-educational event for children and families. The day also includes the XXXI Trobada de Gegants, with the Comparsa dels Gigants de Pasaia joining local giants' groups in a parade from 6:30 PM. Evening concerts include a tribute to Héroes del Silencio in Plaça de Pau Casals, a Serrat and Sabina homage in Plaça del Rellotge, and Eurovision star Chanel performing in Plaça de la Vila, followed by 'Los 40 on Tour'. On Sunday 6, traditional events include the Toc and Ofici de Festa Major at Església Major, a human tower ('castellera') display in Plaça de la Vila, and the popular 'migada', a communal snack of bread and oil, in Europa Park, accompanied by the Festa Major vermouth and Orquesta Selvatana. Sunday night sees indie band Sidonie headline in Plaça de Pau Casals, while Los Manolos and traditional 'habaneras' by Mar i Vent take place in Plaça de la Vila.

Final Day Closes with Pyromusical and David Bustamante

The festival concludes on Monday 7 with children's shows and 'sardanas' for seniors in Can Sisteré gardens. The night features the traditional pyromusical display in Can Zam Park, followed by 31 FAM performing in Europa Park. The grand finale will be David Bustamante's concert in Plaça de la Vila. Local hospitality is celebrated through Corre-Tapa, a tapas trail running on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with tapas and drinks from €3.50 at venues across the city. This year, musical entertainment will be provided by brass band Los Desplumaos and DJ Marchal. The Fira d'Entitats, showcasing 16 local organisations, runs in Can Zam Park from 4 to 7 September, while the Fira d'Atraccions (funfair) operates in Europa Park and Can Zam from 6:00 PM daily, closing at 4:00 AM on Friday and Saturday and 2:00 AM on Sunday and Monday.
