Sant Cugat del Vallès hosted the 13th TOT Sant Cugat Writers' Table this past Saturday, bringing together around 70 authors to sign and dedicate their latest works. The event, held at the Rambla del Celler, fostered direct engagement between writers and readers.

Laura Grau, director of TOT Sant Cugat, highlighted the record participation, noting that 70 authors attended, including 32 women. Grau emphasised the importance of showcasing female talent, stating, "If we, women, don't say it, the talent we have..."

This year's Writers' Table was particularly significant due to the high number of participating authors and the launch of the new 'Viure Sant Cugat' (Live Sant Cugat) magazine, previously known as 'Món Sant Cugat' (World Sant Cugat). The main theme for this edition was 'Sant Cugat, land of writers', according to Grau.

Celebrating Local Literary Talent

The annual gathering serves as an "unmissable event prior to Sant Jordi," Grau explained, underscoring its role in the local literary calendar. Attendees had the opportunity to converse directly with authors, creating a close and participatory atmosphere as books were signed and dedicated.

The continued growth of the Writers' Table reinforces Sant Cugat del Vallès's reputation as a hub for literary activity, setting the stage for the upcoming Sant Jordi celebrations and further promoting local authors and their publications.
