Salou’s Torre Vella is hosting Anatomia de l’Invisible, an art exhibition opened on 28 May 2026 by students from Jaume I Institute in Salou. The show presents work from the Contemporary Artistic Languages course and is open to residents and visitors.

The project developed over a year, with students using different visual languages and creative processes to express daily life and emotional experience. They also acted as curators, thinking about how the pieces relate to each other, to the exhibition space and to the overall story of the show.

Salou mayor Pere Granados attended the opening with Júlia Gómez, the councillor for Education and Culture. According to municipal officials, Granados said he was proud to host the work of Salou’s young artists in Torre Vella, and added that culture helps generate social peace.

Granados also said that all the participants in the exhibition are women, and described art as a tool for empowerment. Carmina Fallada, the school’s director, also attended and thanked the council for the chance to exhibit at Torre Vella. She also called for an artistic baccalaureate in Salou.

Marta Roigé, the course professor, presented the exhibition and described the works as a personal but also universal look at themes including identity, freedom and death. During the opening, the students explained their individual pieces and creative process to municipal authorities and other attendees.

The exhibition remains open to the public at Torre Vella. For more local coverage, readers can follow Catalonia news and see the wider news tag on Catalan News.
