Spider-Man: Brand New Day took more than €3.2 million at Spanish cinemas on Wednesday 29 July, making it the country’s highest-grossing opening day on record, according to figures from box-office auditor Rentrak.
The result came from more than 500,000 admissions on the film’s first day. For Girona cinemagoers, Ocine’s listing includes the film and provides its ticket-purchase channel.
More than 1,000 screens nationwide
The Sony Pictures-distributed Marvel film, starring Tom Holland, opened in 421 cinemas and on more than 1,000 screens across Spain, according to reported Rentrak data.
