Sangulí Camping & Resort in Salou, Tarragona, has received dual recognition, including being named Spain's best camping swimming pool for 2026 by the ACSI Awards. The resort was also honoured with a special mention for its long-standing trajectory by the Federation of Campsites of Catalonia.

The ACSI Award for the best camping swimming pool in Spain is based exclusively on evaluations from European campers, making it a significant indicator of quality in the European camping sector. This marks the second time Sangulí Camping & Resort has secured this accolade, having previously won the same award in 2022, reinforcing the positive assessment of its aquatic facilities.

The special mention for trajectory from the Federation of Campsites of Catalonia acknowledges "decades of constant evolution of Sangulí Camping & Resort and its capacity to adapt to the new needs of family tourism," according to the Federation. It highlighted the resort's commitment to quality, innovation, and customer experience.

The awards ceremony took place last week in La Seu d’Urgell, as part of the 2nd Catalan Campsite Congress, an event that brought together key representatives from the sector. Oriol Calderón, Director General of Blasi Group, and Esther Blasi, Commercial Director, accepted the honours on behalf of Sangulí Camping & Resort.

Tarragona Campsites Recognised

Beyond Sangulí, several other campsites in the Tarragona province were also celebrated in the 2026 ACSI Awards across various categories. Playa Montroig Camping Resort in Mont-roig del Camp was recognised for its best sanitary facilities, while Camping Ametlla in L’Ametlla de Mar received an award as the best campsite for hiking.

Further awards went to Camping Estanyet in Alcanar for its pet-friendly treatment, and Camping Stel in Roda de Berà, which was named the most fun campsite for children. These recognitions underscore the diverse and high-quality offerings available within the region's camping sector.

These awards not only celebrate the individual achievements of Sangulí Camping & Resort and other local sites but also highlight the overall excellence and appeal of Catalonia's camping industry to European tourists. Such distinctions are expected to further boost the region's reputation as a premier destination for family and outdoor holidays.
