Barcelona’s Conciliar Seminary is hosting a new exhibition, “Sagrada Família. Moved by Beauty”, which looks at the emotional and spiritual impact of Antoni Gaudí’s basilica on visitors. It opened on 7 June 2026, alongside the tenth edition of the Punt BCN initiative, and will also coincide with Pope Leo XIV’s visit on Wednesday, 10 June.
The exhibition does not focus only on the basilica itself. Curator Chiara Curti said it aims to show “the journey people make when they enter the temple. They enter as visitors and leave as pilgrims.”
Volunteers guide visitors through the display, using large-format images and audiovisual material to prompt reflection on their experience inside the temple.
The exhibition is the first event in the tenth edition of Punt BCN, an initiative that seeks to create spaces for dialogue between culture, art and society, viewed through a Christian perspective.
Pietro Chevallard, director of Punt BCN, said the planned activities use Gaudí’s figure to address current issues. He said the programme will help people “look up and see Gaudí” while also trying to answer challenges such as education, artificial intelligence and work.
The Punt BCN programme includes conferences, debates and other cultural activities. It is designed as a space for reflection open to all citizens, with discussion shaped by Gaudí’s work and Christian thought.
